Boring and Pointless foods

Food. It’s the stuff on our plate and it keeps us sustained. To keep our mind and body fairly happy we need to devour about three meals a day, plus other food if you can handle it. Meals for many are basic and probably hold not too much excitement. Especially breakfast; man I’m getting sick of Weet-Bix yet I still eat it every day (mostly). I could eat fruit loops all the time instead which are far superior in excitement, but I opt out for Weet-Bix. It’s boring but it does the job. When I’m not eating breakfast I try and at least find something interesting to eat throughout the day. A lot of the time these foods are pointless and should serve no purpose on the shelves with a price tag under them.

Boring food has been round for many moons and people have nearly always been eating it. We sometimes have no choice but to eat it though. Maize for instance, can’t see it tasting awesome but some people have to live with it for most meals. Tofu is an amazing food, it tastes just like wet spongey paper and glue and it’s great to add to diets. It saves your gut but when it comes down to it, it isn’t really enjoyable unless it’s added to stir-fry and then it loses its original tasting purpose anyway. Oysters are another food I look upon in seething boredom. They surely cause no harm if they are left in the ocean. Boring food does serve a purpose, it gives us energy but it just doesn’t give much joy like tasty food does.

There are many inventions in this world that are pointless yet are still bought. Like pink flamingos for your front lawn. Food unfortunately falls under the pointless variety at times. Dragonfruit sounds cool, it’s foreign and it looks it. In my eyes this makes it sound nice. How very wrong. It was like kiwi fruit minus the flavour and a bit more expensive. Avocado is relatively similar except as it has an interesting name. Names of food mean nothing anymore. Deep fried mars bars are an inventive idea yet they fall short of purpose. Mars bars are good on their own and deep frying is best kept for more wholesome food such as chips and chicken. To give it justice these foods would serve a better purpose if they were freely distributed. Fat chance of that though.

I’m not picky about what I eat, just a little harsh and judgmental on the foods that haven’t passed the test. I go out of my way to taste foods that are potentially bad just in case its awesome, and more often than not it’s not. In a more positive regard to it we have Weet-Bix because it’s the cereal of champions. Apparently anyway.
